Because of my success with using yogurt face mask, I tried Yakult on my face as a treatment for acne. There are many blogs online that suggest combining it with mung bean flour but since I can't find that locally, I just use plain Yakult as acne treatment without any add-ons.
What I do is get a small amount of Yakult in a saucer and use cotton balls to dab it on my face. I apply it like a toner then allow it to dry completely. I use old shirts for this because the liquid can be quite sticky. After 5 minutes, I rinse it off well and remove all traces of it just with water. I don't use any kind of cleanser afterwards. I find this more effective for me.
At the beginning, I do this once or twice a week. However, since I find it to be effective in minimizing spots and making scars look less obvious, there was a long period that I did this ritual twice daily---I think for about a year. When my skin needs thorough cleansing, I use a mild face wash on the shower.
What I noticed while using Yakult to treat acne:
- There was less redness.
- Cystic acne heal a lot faster.
- My scars were less visible.
- Exfoliation became a regular natural process, maybe due to the acidity of Yakult.
- My skin became even toned.
- My skin was generally less irritated.
How about you? Are you interested in using probiotic drink to treat acne?
I just drink the yakult probiotics and helps just fine . Less redness, decrease in the visibility of scars, and a radiant looking face. You should try just drinking them it would be less of a mess.
