Cinnamon is one of my favorite spices and I often use cinnamon powder as a flavoring for tea. This fragrant spice is known to balance sugar levels, which is of great benefit for people with Diabetes. Cinnamon can also be used in a number of other ways. Aside from putting it on French toast, hot chocolate and coffee, I also once used it as a way to fight acne.

Cinnamon contains a chemical compound called cinnamaldehyde which is known to be an effective antiseptic. It is fights bacteria and fungus, so it is essentially beneficial for those with skin issues.
In using cinnamon as a spot treatment for acne, it is advisable that you use cinnamon powder as it is easier to work with. It is also important not to combine it with other anti-acne treatments as it could be an irritant in itself. If you have sensitive skin, try it on one spot first and avoid using it on the entire face. Warning: it can cause extreme redness.
To use it as an acne busting treatment, it is best combined with honey to dilute its harshness. Combine half a teaspoon of honey with a dash of cinnamon powder. Mix well and apply to affected areas. Note that it may sting for a while, but this will make the spot dry faster.
